CINCINNATI — One of UC's top commits in the 2023 class, Jonas Duclona, formally accepted his invitation to play in the 2023 All-American Bowl.

The three-star Naples (Florida) cornerback is the 1,024th-ranked player in 247Sports Composite and is the 99th-rated cornerback nationally.

He recently told 247Sports' Andrew Ivins that he plans on being on campus to start his UC career in January.

"I'm locked in," Duclona said. "I'm going to go up there in January. I just feel like I fit their defense, and then the relationships that I have with people on the staff and the players–I feel like it's a great place for me."

He follows 2022 recruit Mario Eugenio among UC players to participate in the high school showcase game.

NFL players like Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and Indianapolis Colts offensive lineman Quenton Nelson have all played in the contest, which airs on Jan. 7 on NBC.
