Recruiting is picking back up following February's dead period. Florida State is taking a calculated approach on the trail as the coaching staff holds four verbal commitments at the start of the spring.

The Seminoles hosted a multitude of talented recruits over the weekend at their latest Junior Day. The coaching staff extended a few scholarship offers during the event and is continuing to pull the trigger on some of the prep athletes who rolled through Tallahassee.

On Tuesday morning, FSU officially joined the recruitment for a pair of twin brothers from South Florida who are standouts on the defensive side of the ball. Three-star defensive end Darryll Desir and three-star defensive end Mandrell Desir both picked up offers from the Seminoles after their recent trip to campus.

The twins referred to linebackers coach Randy Shannon, defensive ends coach John Papuchis, and director of high school relations Ryan Bartow upon revealing the news of the offer. They've been to Florida State multiple times over the last year. Outside of their visit in March, the Desir twins were in town for a junior day in January of 2023 as well as the Seminole Showcase in July.

Both brothers had plenty of success as juniors while helping Miami Norland Senior High School make it to the state championship game. Darryll totaled 48 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and a forced fumble while Mandrell recorded 29 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

It remains to be seen if the Seminoles push for either prospect to officially visit. However, extending a scholarship means the coaching staff is impressed with how they've been trending over the course of their recruitment.

Outside of Florida State, the Desir brothers have picked up offers from Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Indiana, Maryland, Syracuse, UCF, and Liberty, among others.

Darryl Desir stands at 6-foot-4.5 and 240 pounds. He's ranked as the No. 540 overall prospect, the No. 38 EDGE, and the No. 78 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2025 class according to 247Sports.

Mandrell Desir stands at 6-foot-3.5 and 235 pounds. He's ranked as the No. 877 overall prospect, the No. 63 EDGE, and the No. 130 recruit in the state of Florida in the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
