With Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey headed to the NFL, Dominic Lovett has a chance for a lot more targets this fall.

Georgia's offense will have a new look in 2024. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and quarterback Carson Beck are back, but Brock Bowers, Ladd McConkey, Kendall Milton, and Daijun Edwards are all off to the NFL.

That leaves wide receiver Dominic Lovett as one of the elder statesmen on the Bulldogs' offense. The former Missouri transfer hauled in 54 receptions for 613 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in 2024. Now, after a full season with the team, Lovett is using this spring to take his talents to the next level.

"So far the spring, I would say Dom has had a very good spring," said Georgia head coach Kirby Smart earlier this week. "He's so much more confident in the offense. I think Carson [Beck] has a lot of confidence in him. They're on the same wavelength."

"There's been days that Dom was really dominant out there."

"There's been days that Dom was really dominant out there. Now, you got to say is that because Tykee [Smith] and [Javon Bullard] aren't out there covering him, so he's making more plays? Or is that just Dom's more comfortable in the offense, and he's winning at a higher rate?"

Much like in 2023, Georgia will be a pass-first offense this fall with Carson Beck returning as arguably the best quarterback in college football. What Beck needs is weapons and Lovett is poised to be the top target for the Heisman-favorite quarterback.

"He's had a good, good spring, we need it. He's got more confidence. He's playing with confidence. And I think Carson really feels comfortable with him. So I'm pleased with where he's at. His physical toughness continues to improve. I mean, this time last year, it was constantly only him about what he was doing without the ball. He makes a conscious effort to do better at that now, and we need him to."
