Who's Going to Commit to Georgia Next? What to Expect on National Signing Day

As national signing day arrives for the class of 2023, we bring you the final report for what Georgia fans should be expecting.

While many of the top targets in the 2023 recruiting class are already enrolled in school and even more are already signed, there are still plenty of high-level recruits up for grabs.

Georgia, which currently boasts the nation’s No. 2 class according to every major recruiting service, can add to their already impressive haul on Wednesday.
There are two players in the 2023 class in particular that Georgia fans should be on the lookout for: Walker Lyons (TE - Folsom, Ca) and Duce Robinson (TE - Phoenix, Ar). Georgia will also be in the running for class of 2024 5-star DB Ellis Robinson IV (DB - Bradenton, Fl).

Both Lyons and Duce Robinson are 5-star tight-end prospects. Robinson, at 6-foot-6, has incredible quickness and agility for his size. Think Kyle Pitts. He’s also a top baseball prospect and has worked out for at least one MLB team this year.
Lyons is an interesting prospect. At 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, he fits the ideal mold for a tight end. He can line up as an inline tight end or flex out to the slot. Though he is graduating from high school as a member of the 2023 class, Lyons will be heading to Norway on a mission trip with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The mission will last at least a year, so Lyons may not be enrolling until 2024.

As for Ellis Robinson, Georgia is looking to add to what is currently the No. 1-ranked 2024 class. Per 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Robinson is the No. 1 corner in the class of 2024.

From Dawgs Daily’s Brooks Austin:

“Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown has developed a strong relationship with Robinson, having gone to see the young corner play against Pheonix City this fall as well as having had Robinson on campus this year as well. He was in Athens for the Championship Parade as well as coming to campus during the season as well for the Tennessee matchup.”

All three players are expected to commit on February 1st, though there is growing speculation that Duce Robinson could be delaying his decision to this summer according to reports. Robinson's constant intrigue from the major league could cause some delay in this process.

Georgia is also awaiting the national letter of intent from offensive tackle commit Jamal Meriweather as well.
