Mike Woodson has his eye on a 3-point shooter in the transfer portal.

According to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.com, Woodson will complete an in-home visit on Thursday with Towson transfer Nick Timberlake.

Timberlake is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard with five years of college basketball experience under his belt. During the 2022-23 season, he averaged 17.7 points per game while shooting 41.6 percent from 3-point range on 221 attempts and 84.5 percent from the free throw line. Towson finished tied for third place in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Indiana surely isn't alone in its pursuit of Timberlake, as Weingarten reported that Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann and the North Carolina coaching staff have also conducted in-home visits with Timberlake this week. He's also drawn interest from UCLA, Kansas and others.

Timberlake had an impressive 2021-22 season, as well, averaging 14.4, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 40.6 percent 3-point shooting. He also started 18 games during his third season at Towson and averaged 12.1 points.

He's a two-time All-CAA player, including 2023 All-CAA Tournament honors. Timberlake scored a career-high 34 points on Feb. 23 at College of Charleston, a team that reached the NCAA Tournament this year.

He made 6-of-11 3-point attempts in that game, just days after a 26-point game at North Carolina A&T and a 29-point game versus Delaware. In this three-game stretch, Timberlake made 19-of-32 attempts from 3-point range.

Indiana will lose multi-year starters Miller Kopp, Race Thompson and Trayce Jackson-Davis to graduation, and Big Ten Freshman of the Year Jalen Hood-Schifino could leave for the NBA Draft, making the transfer portal a definite factor in Indiana's offseason plans.
