ALBANY, N.Y. — It's going to be a late night here at MVP Arena as Indiana's game with Kent State in the NCAA Tournament is finally ready to roll around. It's the last of four games here in what's been an entertaining day.

Welcome to our live blog, where we'll keep you updated on all the news and views straight from press row. We'll throw in some highlights and opinion as well. The most recent items are at the top, so just keep refreshing.

111:47 p.m. — Kent State is just 10-for-38 from the field, a mere 26.3 percent. But Indiana is letting them hang around with 10 offensive rebounds. Need to clean that up in the second half. Star guard Sincere Carry is just 3-for-11 for six points. Trey Galloway has done a nice job on him, and Trayce Jackson-Davis is always there when he gets in the lane.

11:24 p.m. — Jalen Hood-Schifino comes back into the game with two fouls and 2:08 to go. Trayce Jackson-Davis in double figures now after making two free throws. Biggest lead of the night at eight, at 35-27, and the half ends that way.

11:18 p.m. — Final media timeout of the half and Indiana's lead is down to three, at 26-23. Letting Kent State hang around a little too much. Trayce Jackson-Davis with just six points so far. There's 3:58 to go.

11:10 p.m. — We're at the under-8 media timeout and it's Indiana up 21-17, but Kent State just hit a three and has a foul shot coming, too.

11:06 p.m. — Indiana freshman Malik Reneau with a block on one end, and then a score on the other. Hoosiers lead 21-14. On Kent State's next possession, Jalen Hood-Schifino picks up his second foul and he has to sit. There's 8:06 to go. That's big to watch. I didn't see any contact at all, and it happened right in front of me.

10:58 p.m. — Media timeout with 10:53 to go. Indiana leads 19-14. Kent State just 5-for-16 from the field.

10:49 p.m. — Race Thompson hits a three-pointer and poses on it for a while. That's six straight for Indiana, so Kent State coach Rob Senderoff calls timeout. Hoosiers lead 15-9 with 13:41 to go. He's got 10 points already.

10:44 p.m. — We're at the first media timeout and Indiana leads 7-7. The score has changed. The earlier Jalen Hood-Schifino three was changed to a two during the timeout. There's 15:48 to go.

10:42 p.m. — Two quick blocks for Trayce Jackson-Davis, and both have led to runouts. Race Thompson scores again, and was fouled. He makes the free throw, and it's 8-2 Indiana.

10:38 p.m. — The ball is tipped, and we're off. Indiana scores first, with Trayce Jackson-Davis finding Race Thompson on a break on their third possession. Jalen Hood-Schifino follows with a three and it's 5-2 Indiana.

10:23 p.m. ET — Same starters for Indiana. Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson up front, with Miller Kopp, Trey Galloway and Jalen Hood-Schifino. Miller Kopp is wearing a headband for some reason. Why now?

10:20 p.m. ET — Tonight's officials are Kelly Pfeifer, Mark Schnur and Keith Kimble. Good crew. Seen a lot of Schnur and Pfeifer. Don't know Kimble very well myself, but he's done several Final Fours.

10:08 p.m. ET — Projected start time for Indiana-Kent State is 10:33 p.m.

10:04 p.m. ET — Should Indiana win tonight, they'll play No. 5 seed Miami in the second round on Sunday. The Hurricanes made a nice second-half comeback to beat No. 12 seed Drake 63-56. Drake had a 53-47 lead with 6:36 to go but was outscored 16-3 down the stretch. Miami is 26-7 and was an Elite Eight team a year ago.

9:40 p.m. ET — MVP Arena in Albany holds about 17,000 fans and it's full for the evening session. Please of red Indiana gear throughout the stands.

9:35 p.m. ET — In the final hour before tipoff, Indiana remains a 4.5-point favorite over Kent State. Surprises me a little. I thought the late money might be on Kent State.

9:30 p.m. ET — There are enough Indiana fans in the building to be roaring over Purdue's loss with Fairleigh Dickinson on the big screen. It worked out great that the final two minutes of the game happened during halftime of the Miami-Drake game so everyone could watch. Purdue the second No. 1 seed EVER to lose in the first round.
