Game Primer: How To Watch, Things to Know for Duke vs Kansas
The Kansas Jayhawks have started the season 2-0 with neither of their opening games providing much of a challenge for the reigning NCAA Champions. Tonight, the difficulty ramps up, as they head to Indianapolis for the Champions Classic against the Duke Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils are in their first season under head coach Jon Scheyer, who was a longtime assistant under former coach Mike Krzyzewski. They were picked to finish second in SI's ACC preview.
Kansas fell one spot in the AP Poll this week to sixth, but maintained its ranking in fifth in the Coaches Poll. Duke is ranked seventh in the AP Poll and eighth in the Coaches Poll.
Duke leads the series between these two teams 8-5, but Kansas has a 2-1 record against them in the Champions Classic. While the Blue Devils won the last meeting between the two teams, the Jayhawks won the prior three meetings, including an 85-81 overtime win to advance to the 2018 Final Four.
