The Kansas Jayhawks put their undefeated conference record on the line, hoping to avoid the need for a comeback similar to the one against the Oklahoma Sooners. Coming to town is the also-undefeated Iowa State Cyclones with the winner taking over the top spot in the conference standings.

The Cyclones are in their 2nd season under head coach TJ Otzelberger, who has a 35-15 record at the school. They are coming off a season where they went 22-13 overall and 7-11 in the Big 12. They finished the season by advancing to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament as an 11-seed, where they fell to the 10-seeded Miami Hurricanes.

Kansas comes into the game ranked #2 in both polls, while Iowa State is #14.

Kansas leads the all-time series 188-66, including a 56-10 record in Allen Fieldhouse. They have won the last six meetings, with the last Cyclone win in the 2019 Big 12 Tournament.
