Kansas Jayhawks slip slightly in the polls.

The loss in triple overtime was still enough to keep the Jayhawks ranked for the third straight week.

The Kansas Jayhawks suffered their first loss of the season last week in their final nonconference game in Lincoln, but it wasn't enough to make them drop out of Monday's Top 25 polls. The voters did not penalize the Jayhawks significantly for the triple overtime loss, as they slipped just two spots to come in at #22 in the AP Poll this week.

Once again, South Carolina continues to lead the poll as a unanimous #1 selection, with Stanford unanimous as #2. Rounding out the Top 5 is Ohio State, Indiana and Notre Dame.

The Big 12 still has four teams in the polls. Iowa State, who was idle this week, dropped one spot to #15. Oklahoma used their double-digit victory over Florida in the Jumpman Invitational to move up three spots to #20. And finally, Baylor got back on track with a dominant win over Long Beach State, moving up one spot to #23.

Despite a dominant victory for the Wildcats last week, Kansas State is no longer receiving votes in the poll. However, Texas is still getting the same five points they have gotten every week for the last three weeks. While their 62-point victory over the Houston Christian Huskies was impressive for the margin, it's still a bit puzzling how they have avoided dropping out of the voting entirely.

We have a nice slate of games between two ranked teams this week, with exactly one game on each day from Wednesday through next Monday. On Wednesday, #8 UConn travels to Omaha to take on #21 Creighton. Thursday showcases #9 LSU traveling to Fayetteville to take on #24 Arkansas. On Friday, the Pac 12 takes center stage as #10 UCLA goes up to Eugene to take on #17 Oregon. Saturday has #14 Michigan taking on their main rival in #3 Ohio State in Columbus. Sunday features #13 North Carolina traveling to #7 Virginia Tech. And assuming the #18 Arizona Wildcats can avoid an upset this week, they will travel as a ranked squad to take on #2 Stanford on Monday afternoon shortly after the polls are released.
