LIVE Updates and Scores: TCU Horned Frogs at Kansas Jayhawks

The Kansas Jayhawks are coming off of two close losses, looking to get back to winning after facing one of the toughest stretches of their conference schedule. With the struggling TCU Horned Frogs in town, that seems like a real possibility.  It's an important momentum game for the Jayhawks. You can check out everything you need to catch the game in our primer.

I'll be giving updates live from Allen Fieldhouse throughout the game here, so make sure you check back frequently. You can also follow live updates on my twitter account and join the conversation in our Discord server.

8:45pm: Rock Chalk Chant has started, and Kansas wins it 73-55.

8:43pm: It's another double-double for Jackson, and now Brandon Schneider is clearing the bench.

8:40pm: Jackson picks up her fourth foul but stays in the game.

8:36pm: Kansas looks to be cruising to a victory here, as the closest TCU has gotten has been 14 right at the beginning of the quarter.

8:33pm: Jayhawks are heating up again from the field. They have made their last three and lead by 22.

8:27pm: Kansas timeout after a TCU block out of bounds. They lead 58-36 with 7:50 left in the game.

8:25pm: TCU is getting buckets and stops, but not enough in a string to make any real headway. Kansas gets back-to-back threes from Kersgieter and Prater to go back up by 20.

8:19pm: Might have the play of the game there. Taiyanna Jackson had the ball tipped out of her hands, was falling down out of bounds and tapped it to Zakiyah Franklin, who drove in to score while being fouled for an and-1 as the shot clock was running down.

8:13pm: Kansas gets nothing out of a trip that includes a foul and then an offensive rebound of the second miss. TCU is closing the gap just a little with Prater and Jackson on the bench.

8:10pm: There is a foul seemingly every time up and down the floor, but neither team has been able to use it to their advantage. Just 5 minutes into the period and both teams are in the bonus.

8:07pm: TCU pressure is disrupting Kansas a bit, but they aren't really able to take advantage. They still trail by 20 nearly 5 minutes into the third quarter.

8:02pm: Lots of fouls in this one so far, but the scoring has finally started.

8:00pm: Not what you wanted to see. Kansas is called for back-to-back offensive fouls, one by Jackson and the other by Prater.

7:43pm: Kansas gives up a couple baskets at the end of the half, but they keep scoring themselves. A Kersgieter three at the end of the half gives Kansas a 39-19 lead.

7:41pm: Yes the Kansas defense is playing well, but TCU is shooting just 17% and missing plenty of open shots.

7:37pm: Kansas defense is stepping up, and the offense is heating up.

7:32pm: Franklin answered a three from TCU with her own, and then got ahead on a runout to lay in another.

Kansas is starting to heat up.

7:30pm: Prater has 4 straight points for the Jayhawks, and they have a nine point lead. But Jackson is on the bench with two fouls.

7:21pm: You can tell the difference when Kersgieter/Franklin aren't on the court. Mayberry not being available has caused some issues too.

But Kansas maintains the lead going into the quarter break. They are up 15-8.

7:18pm: Jackson was off the floor for two minutes, and the offense went to pieces. She is back in now.

7:15pm: A bit of a late start for our updates, but the Jayhawks are up 10-6 with 3 minutes left in the 1st quarter. The crowd is small but loud.

Wyvette Mayberry did not start and doesn't look like she is going to play tonight.
