Jayhawks at Horned Frogs: Game Predictions

While a loss to Baylor in Waco changed the timing, it did not change the goal for the Kansas Jayhawks: win two games and clinch at least a share of the Big 12 regular season title. With two games this week against the TCU Horned Frogs, it is entirely possible that Kansas may have clinched it before the season finale against Texas.

But TCU needs a win in one of these next two games to cement an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. The first one at home is probably the most likely one.

Can the Jayhawks bounce back from their loss on Saturday and get one step closer to a Big 12 title? Or does TCU punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament tonight? Our crew gets together to tell you what we think you can expect to see tomorrow.

Kyle_Davis21TCU turns the ball over a ton while not forcing many turnovers themselves, which means Kansas should have opportunities to run in transition. TCU also doesn’t take many 3s or shoot it well from there. So if the Jayhawks can take care of the ball and shoot it decently, they should come away with a win in the first game of the back to back.

Kansas 73, TCU 65.

Brendan Dzwierzynski: Kansas is 4-0 after losses so far this year, and who am I to pick against a trend? As Kyle mentioned, this matchup should be an opportunity for KU to get out and run, which would be a welcome bounce back from Saturday. Maybe that also makes it an opportunity for Remy Martin to get back in a groove?

Kansas 76, TCU 70

Derek Noll: As the guys above have stated, KU does exceptionally well after a defeat, and considering the importance of this game, I’m going to agree with the crew.

Kansas 80, TCU 65.

Lucas Murphy: The Kansas Jayhawks will look to bounce back after a tragic loss to the Baylor Bears. I anticipate the Jayhawks coming out prepared to play fundamental basketball against the TCU Horned Frogs. I am projecting a win especially with the Big 12 lead being so tight and KU is looking to win it outright.

Kansas 72, TCU 61

Andy Mitts: The loss for Kansas at the hands of Baylor was the worst case scenario for the Horned Frogs, as the Jayhawks are going to come into this one focused and angry. With Mike Miles as the only true consistent threat, I expect Self to focus on him defensively and daring the rest of the team to beat them. I just don't think there is enough there, even if Kansas as to deal with an extended offensive slump.

Kansas 82, TCU 65
