The Kansas Jayhawks are on a two-game losing streak, with both games being lost with late game collapses. What looked like a potential run to a Big 12 Championship has turned into a bunch of missed opportunities. But today is one final chance to finish the season off strong as they head on the road to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Will the Jayhawks be able to channel their emotions from last week and snap their losing streak? Or will Cincinnati be celebrating on their Senior Day?

Last week I thought that Jason Bean would start and Kansas would win against a good K-State team. He didn’t and they didn’t but it was closer than many would’ve thought with a true freshman QB in there making his first collegiate start. Fast forward to the season finale at Cincinnati and I don’t care who is starting or playing quarterback, I’m taking Kansas. The defense has played well this season and I expect more of that against the Bearcats, but most of all, I expect Kansas to run the ball down Cincy’s throat, opening up the passing game to carve out big chunks of yardage. Kansas gets to eight wins and takes momentum into their bowl game. Gimme KU in a romp.

I’ll keep it simple: rely on your playmakers. That’s Jason Bean with the deep ball, the receivers in open space and, most important, getting Devin Neal the ball as much as possible. This is a bad Cincinnati team, and while an upset is always possible, this KU group should be hungry and mad after a week ago. The emotional edge plus a distinct talent advantage should lead to Kansas coming away with an eighth win.

Kansas 35, Cincinnati 17

Like the guys said, I don't care who is at quarterback this week, as the Jayhawks are a great running team. The Bearcats are bad at defending the run, to the point where I'm expecting a huge game from multiple running backs. Devin Neal is going over 150 yards, and I'd be disappointed if Kansas doesn't have at least 300 rushing yards on the day. And while I expect Cincinnati to be able to get some yards, the combination of a hungry Kansas team, the lack of stakes for Cincinnati and that the Jayhawks are a second half team should lead to Kansas pulling away at the end.

Kansas 40, Cincinnati 20.
