Kentucky in Top Four for 4-Star '24 CB Cameron Keys

Keys is considering a quartet of SEC schools, including the Wildcats.

Kentucky is on the rise on the 2024 recruiting trail.

Landing 4-star quarterback Cutter Boley was a magnificent prelude to a jam-packed June for head coach Mark Stoops and his staff, who welcomed a heap of recruits to Lexington for camp season.

The first domino fell over the weekend, as 2024 3-star EDGE Antwan Smith committed to the Wildcats, becoming the first out-of-state addition to the class, joining Boley and two in-state offensive linemen, Hayes Johnson and Aba Selm.

UK could be on the cusp of adding a second defensive piece to the class in 4-star cornerback Cameron Keys.

Coming out of A. Crawford Mosley in Panama City, Fla., Keys is ranked as the No. 282 overall player, No. 30 CB and No. 42 player in the state of Florida, per the On3 Consensus. On June 8, he included Kentucky in his top four schools, all of which are of the SEC variety:

Keys was in Lexington over the weekend on an official visit. He will be in Nashville for an OV with Vanderbilt next, then will round out the month in Columbia for a visit with Missouri.

247Sports' Robbie Weinstein has placed a crystal ball prediction for the blue-chipper to land at Vandy, though UK, Mizzou and Mississippi State appear to still firmly be in the race.

For Mosely last season, the 6-foot, 160-pounder collected 26 tackles, nine pass breakups and two interceptions in nine games. He also sparsely played receiver, catching nine passes for 101 yards.

Adding Keys would be a major win for the Kentucky defense. Defensive backs coach Chris Collins is leading UK's recruitment of the Floridian.
