Dakota Jordan: Mississippi State's Next Baseball Star

Jake Mangum, Tanner Allen and Landon Sims are all great MSU baseball players that had outstanding college careers and are currently making their way up to the MLB.

Dakota Jordan will go down as one of those greats as well.

The 2023 baseball season has been over for some time, and Mississippi State has a lot of questions that should be asked. None of them should be about Dakota Jordan.

The freshman out of Canton, Mississippi, had an outstanding season while also showing that he has a great chance to make it to The Show. Being named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and being invited to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, Jordan’s stock is at an all-time high.

Finishing second-best in hitting on the team only behind sophomore Hunter Hines, Jordan also has a mature presence about him that most freshmen lack. After his walk-off base hit that led to a victory against Ole Miss in April, his postgame interviews showed that he was aware of the moment that he created, but he still credited the team for helping him secure the win.

How far will Dakota Jordan go? If this season is any indication, he is the future of the program and will be delivering more memorable moments in the near future.
