With Jurrangelo Cijntje starting on the mound, Mississippi State's pitching has a fantastic start -- something that continued as the Bulldogs captured a 14-3 victory in their second contest against ULM. Every pitcher this game was incredibly prepared to take on their opponent, and the Bulldog batters showed exactly what they have to offer this season.

Starting at the bottom of the first, Amani Larry started the Bulldogs off with a walk. Luke Hancock and Slate Alford were sent to first base at the bottom of the second inning shortly after.

When the bases are loaded at the bottom of the second, Hunter Hines hit the ball to first base, securing two runs for the Diamond Dawgs.

The bottom of the fourth held incredible series of plays for MSU. After Bryce Chance walked to first, Ross Highfill hit an impressive double, bringing two runners home. Larry then stepped up to the plate and ran to first, bringing a third runner home with the scoreboard showing clearly that it would be tough for ULM to catch back up.

To round out the inning, Colton Ledbetter hit a home run, bringing himself, and another base runner back home. The Bulldogs racked up a total of 5 runs during this inning, securing a 5-0 score halfway through the game.

At the bottom of the fifth, Slate Alford hit a double, recording another tremendous hit and scored the team another home run.

Alford's hit at the bottom of the seventh inning gave base runners the chance to score a couple more runs. Freshman Dakota Jordan also scored an amazing homerun, clearning the bases and adding three more runs to the scoreboard, a perfect example of how this team's strong freshman class is making a a huge impact on the whole team.

On the other side of things, the Bulldogs defense was ready for what ULM had to bring. During the top of the fifth inning, Connor Hujsak was quick to spot and catch an incoming ball in the outfield. This was an impressive catch for Hujsak, adding to his excellent game performance.

KC Hunt pitched the top of the sixth inning and Von Seibert, anticipating for the for the ball driven to the right outfield, making an impressive catch on a play that caught eyes.

Up next, the Bulldogs will look to build upon this momentum a they take on the Arizona State Sun Devils on Friday in Starkville.
