Mississippi State baseball (11-5) is hot right now, currently riding a five-game winning streak after sweeping the visiting Lipscomb Bison in a three-contest series that wrapped up with 12-4 victory for the Maroon and White.

The Bulldogs will look to keep the momentum rolling as they head to Biloxi, Mississippi to face the Nicholls Colonels (11-7) in the Hancock Whitney Classic.

Nicholls fell in its latest game, losing 5-0 to the ULM Warhawks. The Colonels' most recent victory came against that same team as they topped the Warkhawks in the first two games of the series, 7-3 on Saturday and 8-0 on Friday.
