IB Nation Sports Talk: A Reimagined College Football Offseason

College football's offseason is here and there is already conference realignment talk going on with seven ACC schools, including Clemson, Florida State and North Carolina, pushing their conference for bigger payouts in lieu of getting out of their grant of rights contracts for the next 13 years. Unfortunately, conference shuffling has been the biggest offseason college football topic in recent years, but on today's show we discuss some things the sport could do to spur other out of season talk throughout the year.

We start Rapid Fire by discussing former Irish running back Logan Diggs transferring to LSU. Other topics include:

* Does having Marcus Freeman as head coach increase the value for Notre Dame in its next apparel deal.

* Notre Dame is currently favored by 21.5 in its season opener vs Navy, an 8.5 point underdog vs Ohio State and a 1-point favorite vs USC this season. If we were going to make a three-leg parlay on those three props how would we bet?

* Thoughts on Peacock getting the rights to exclusively stream an NFL playoff game in prime time this season.

* The Jets are going to host the Dolphins in the NFL’s first Black Friday game the day after Thanksgiving this season and they are interested in hosting that game every year. Do we Buy or Sell a permanent host for that game?

* Dan Patrick says Dan Campbell is the most recognizable member of the Detroit Lions. Which other teams is the head coach the first person who comes to mind when you think about them?

* The Phoenix Suns fired head coach and Notre Dame alum Monty Williams two years after taking the Suns to the NBA Finals. Philadelphia also just fired Doc Rivers and the Bucks had already canned Mike Budenholzer. Did any of those guys deserve to get the boot?

* Thoughts on Joel Embiid's postgame comments after Philadelphia's game seven playoff loss to the Celtics.
