Notre Dame Moves Up To 18th In Latest Coaches Poll

Notre Dame (7-3) was off this weekend, but that didn't keep the Fighting Irish from moving up the polls. In fact, Notre Dame moved up four spots to No. 18 in the latest Coaches Poll after a weekend of upsets.

Tennessee fell behind Notre Dame after getting blasted by Missouri, Oklahoma State fell back after getting dominated by UCF, Kansas fell behind after being upset by Texas Tech. Notre Dame also leaped James Madison despite its 44-6 win over UConn.

The top eight spots remained the same as everyone held serve. Louisville moved up two spots to No. 9 after its come from behind over Virginia as well as losses by Penn State and Ole Miss. That gives Notre Dame a pair of losses to Top 10 teams.

Notre Dame's No. 22 ranking from a week ago was its lowest of the season. The Irish have been as high as No. 9 and had been ranking in the Top 10 for multiple weeks prior to losses to Ohio State and Louisville.

Notre Dame gets back to action this weekend against Wake Forest (4-6).
