Notre Dame Stars Ready To Impress At 2023 NFL Scouting Combine

In this story:
The biggest event in the NFL Draft process, the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine will kick off this week. The event will welcome 319 of the top draft eligible prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft class, including four former Notre Dame standouts.
Irish star tight end Michael Mayer, defensive end Isaiah Foskey, offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson and safety Brandon Joseph will represent the program at the event. They have a chance to impress all the NFL evaluators on site.
This is all in preparation of the 2023 NFL Draft, which will take place April 27-29 in Kansas City, Missouri. Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s Scouting Combine, including when to tune in to each of the Irish standouts.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR FROM NOTRE DAME PARTICIPANTS
DE Isaiah Foskey
Kicking things off on Thursday, Foskey has a chance to once again showcase his elite level talent to NFL evaluators in Indianapolis. While his play on the field hasn’t always matched his physical gifts, Foskey is still an easy player to bet on to continue to develop. He will need to jump far, run fast and show out amongst some of the other talented peers in attendance.
S Brandon Joseph
On Friday, Joseph will test his talents amongst a solid safety group in Indianapolis. A lot rides on this performance for Joseph, who had a less than stellar two year stretch to end his college career after an incredible start. From on field testing to meetings with teams, Joseph has a lot of questions left to answer.
TE Michael Mayer
On Saturday, Mayer will hope to solidify himself as the top tight end in the 2023 NFL Draft class. Despite Mayer’s resume, there has been a lot of talk of other tight ends coming off the board before the Notre Dame star. With a good athletic showing this week, that talk should die down quickly.
OL Jarrett Patterson
Ending things on Sunday is Patterson, who needs a strong combine showing after an extremely up and down 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl performance. Patterson has often been looked at as a talented athlete who was good while dawning the blue and gold but always had more untapped upside. Showcasing those physical gifts, while getting clean medicals, is a massive opportunity for the California native.
