2025 Lineman Jake Cook Is "Very High" On Notre Dame Heading Into Upcoming Visit

On April 1st, Notre Dame is set to host a flurry of talented recruits on campus. On Wednesday, 2025 Westerville (Ohio) North offensive lineman Jake Cook announced that he would make the trip back to South Bend after being on campus for the Clemson victory last season.

Only a sophomore, Cook does not currently hold an offer from Notre Dame but both sides have been in contact so far in the process. The Ohio native has been hearing from several big schools over the last few months.

“Recruiting has been going really good right now,” Cook said. “The schools that I’ve been talking with the most right now are Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Louisville and Notre Dame.

“I’m very high on Notre Dame and am super excited to go on a visit on April 1st,” continued Cook. “I was really excited to see Coach (Joe) Rudolph get the offensive line coach job because he has been recruiting me since he was at Virginia Tech.”

That relationship with Coach Rudolph will be something to keep a close eye on as Cook and the coaching staff continue to develop a better relationship. Whether the Irish do end up offering or not, Cook I sure to have a lot of opportunities to decide from. He has already set his criteria for making a final decision.

“Things I’m looking for while finding a school that best fits me are definitely the culture of the team in general and then the offensive culture of how those guys bond together,” he explained.

The 6-5, 305-pound sophomore has received offers from a slew of Group of Five Schools so far. Cook’s current offers include Marshall, Toledo, Western Michigan, Miami (OH), UNLV, Central Michigan, Akron, Bowling Green, Ball State and FCS notable Eastern Kentucky.

Several Power Five schools are also keeping close contact with Cook. He has the look of a player who will generate serious interest as he continues to develop.
