Notre Dame Commit Davion Dixon Set To Kick Week 12 Off On Thursday Night

On Thursday, high school action is set to kickoff. There is one Notre Dame commit who will be hoping for a big performance, with 2025 Miami (Fla.) Palmetto defensive tackle Davion Dixon and his talented Panther squad set to host a home playoff game. Palmetto (8-1) will be welcoming Doral Academy (5-4), a game set for 7 PM eastern time. The Palmetto defense has been stellar this season, led by Dixon in the middle.

With their 47-0 shutout last Thursday against Miami Beach, that was the third time they did not allow a point in a game this season. On the year, the defense is averaging to surrender just a little over nine points per game. The 6-2, 305-pound Dixon has been a stellar addition to the Panthers defense, providing added size and playmaking potential from the interior.

Doral Academy is hoping to get back in the win column after a 41-14 loss to Edison last week. They are an offense that has scored 35 or more points four separate times this season, and will need a big performance against a suffocating Palmetto defensive unit. This will be the first meeting between the two squads in their history.

The Firebirds will be led by junior pass catcher Marcus Antelo, who leads the squad with 675 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 37 receptions. In order to watch Dixon in this matchup, make sure to use this LINK.
