Notre Dame Continues To Resonate With Standout OL Jack Lange

Over the weekend, Notre Dame hosted their first junior day of the offseason. For the first time since visiting for the Pittsburgh game last season, 2025 Eureka (Mo.) High School standout offensive tackle Jack Lange made the trip back to South Bend.
After that first trip in October, Lange was officially offered a couple weeks after. Since then, he has become a priority for Joe Rudolph and the staff. Their pitch has been heard loudly and clearly by the Missouri native.
"The pitch the staff gave was that the guys out there, the current players, will make you better and that you will make them better,” Lange told Irish Breakdown. "That resonated with me because it shows that he sees a place on the team for me.”
It was an overall tremendous weekend for Notre Dame recruits and targets on campus. From meetings, to a photo shoot in the snow, a hockey game, leprechauns and everything in between, it was a success.
Lange has gotten to know the Irish coaches very quickly. Those bonds got even stronger on Saturday.
"The trip went great,” he explained. "It was good to catch up with the guys and get back to South Bend. The relationships get stronger every time.
"I’m really getting to know all the coaches on a deeper level,” Lange continued. "It’s been great to get to know Coach Rudolph and everyone better recently. They really like how I could potentially fit with the program.”
Lange also got the chance to spend a lot of time with the other recruits who were on campus. In fact, that was one of his favorite parts of the trip.
"My favorite part was definitely the introduction to the Junior Day,” said Lange. "We had the chance to do a lot from the photo shoot to the hockey game. One of the big highlights was just being able to talk to the other recruits. They all seemed cool.”
Heading into the visit, things were in a solid spot with Lange but there was work to be done. In the past, the talented offensive lineman has listed other schools like Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan, Kansas State, Washington and Kansas as other schools to know. There isn’t a clear timeline so far but Notre Dame has done a good job of propelling themselves right near the top.
"I’m going to try and commit by the end of the summer or by the first signing day at the latest,” said Lange. "It really depends how the process plays out. I’m open to it all.”
Lange is currently rated as a four-star recruit by On3, 247Sports and Rivals. 247Sports peggs him as the No. 117 overall player and No. 12 offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class. He is also rated as the No. 2 player in the state of Missouri, an area that has been going to the Irish in the 2023 and 2024 classes. In fact, all three platforms rate him as the No. 2 player in the state.
The 6-8, 275-pound offensive tackle has seen a big rise from a recruiting perspective since the beginning of his junior season. His offer list has continued to really blow up. Some of Lange’s top offers so far include Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Penn State, Washington, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Iowa, Kansas State, Iowa State, Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas and Vanderbilt among others.
