Dynamic Defender JaDon Blair Ready To Experience Notre Dame Game Day

In this story:
A part of a really deep and talented safety group in the 2025 recruiting class, there may not be a more talented player than Winston Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor star JaDon Blair. Notre Dame has been trending in a great direction with Blair, who had a tremendous experience on campus back in July.
Blair is set to return to South Bend this week when the Irish take on Ohio State. It’s going to be a massive recruiting weekend for the program and the talented defender will be one of the headliners. Coming into the visit, Notre Dame is viewed as one of the front runners for Blair and has maintained a lot of momentum over the last couple of months.
"Everything has been going absolutely great with Coach (Chris) O’Leary and the Notre Dame coaches,” Blair told Irish Breakdown. "We really have been building every single day from the last time I was up there on my visit. They always make it known how much they want me there and how they would love to see me in their colors.”
This weekend against Ohio State offers a unique perspective for Blair: a game day. With so much national exposure on the game, he’s excited to just experience everything first hand.
"I’m most excited to see the game atmosphere and how loyal and crazy their fans are,” said Blair. "I’m also just getting to experience a game day over there which is really exciting to me and I’m looking forward to it.”
There is no questioning that Blair is a priority recruit for the Irish staff. They have separated themselves among a short list of top schools.
"A couple new schools have been reaching out to me a lot and just trying to communicate and have conversations with me," Blair noted. "I would say Notre Dame, Penn State and Virginia Tech have been the relationships developing the most because I get contacted by them every single day.”
Blair has also set out a pretty firm timeline on hoping to make a decision. Notre Dame will have to play the long game a bit but they are ready to do so.
"I’ll have like a Top 10 probably in the summer after my junior year,” said Blair. "Then I’ll be committed probably around July or early August just so that the school that I commit to can start really building and teaching me things before I even get there.”
Notre Dame promises to be in this one until the very end. With an impressive performance on Saturday, they have the chance to start trending well with Blair.
Blair has received a flurry of interest from a ton of notable programs thus far. Some of the top programs who have extended offers so far include the Fighting Irish, Penn State, Miami, LSU, Florida State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Virginia, Duke, West Virginia, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech among several others.
On3 is especially high on the North Carolina star. Blair is rated as the No. 26 overall player and No. 2 safety in the 2025 recruiting class. That ranking also has Blair pegged as the No. 3 player in the state of North Carolina, an area that Notre Dame has made an impact in recently.
The 6-4, 180-pound athlete was a substantial producer from his safety position. He finished his sophomore campaign with 44 total tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception and two pass breakups.
In three games as a junior, Blair has collected 18 total tackles and one tackle for loss. On offense, the North Carolina star has also hauled in two receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown.
