Indiana Receiver Devaughn Slaughter Excited To See Notre Dame Game Day Atmosphere

Among a lengthy list of local stars, 2025 MIndianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral wide receiver Devaughn Slaughter is set to visit Notre Dame this weekend for their game against Central Michigan. That will be Slaughter’s second time on campus, however this will present a new perspective for him.

Slaughter is excited just to see the version of the 2023 Irish program. That includes the pass catcher, who have a lot of expectations on Saturday.

“I am most excited about seeing the atmosphere on game day again,” Slaughter said. “I’m really excited to see how the wide receivers perform.”

Up until this point, conversation has been scarce. That is sure to change this weekend, and will be interesting to see how it does after the visit.

“I haven’t really had too many conversations with Notre Dame coaches or staff yet,” he stated. “I’m hoping to really develop that relationship.”

Slaughter’s lone scholarship offer is from Miami (Ohio) so far. Both Notre Dame and Cincinnati have also kept in contact with the Indiana standout. That is just the early portion of the recruiting process.

“Recruiting has been going pretty good,” Slaughter said. “It is still very early in the process so I'm just getting my feet wet. I don’t really have any schools standing out so far. My favorite that I’ve visited is probably Notre Dame.”

This weekend is a great opportunity for Slaughter to get to know the staff better. It could be a launching point to a great relationship.
