Notre Dame Offers Dynamic Texas Athlete Michael Terry III
Under Marcus Freeman, there has been an emphasis on getting longer and more athlete everywhere. That mission continued on Tuesday when an offer was extended to 2025 San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights star athlete Michael Terry III, who has one of the more diverse skill sets in the country.
Terry is considered a consensus four-star recruit by every major recruiting platform. He is rated as a top 100 national recruit by both 247Sports and On3, currently sitting as the No. 51 and No. 68 overall player on that ranking. On the On3 Industry ranking, Terry also ranks as the No. 51 overall player and No. 1 athlete in the 2025 recruiting class.
The 6-3, 210-pound athlete has caught the attention of several top programs across the country so far. Some of his top offers to date include the Irish, Texas, Oregon, TCU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Duke, Texas Tech, Purdue and Georgia Tech among others.
During his junior season, Terry was a dominant force no matter how Alamo Heights used him. On offense, he hauled in 25 receptions for 564 yards and 10 touchdowns as a wide receiver. He also ran the ball 110 times for 995 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. Terry also recorded an interception on defense, while being the team’s main punter, kick and punt returner.
The offer was extended by Chris O’Leary but it is unclear if it was made with the vision of him playing safety on the next level. Terry is the type of athlete who can player wide receiver, safety or even rover on the next level. His athletic upside is something special.
