Notre Dame Recruits Visiting Other Places In Week Five

In this story:
Notre Dame is set to take on Duke this weekend, a battle of top 20 teams nationally. There are a couple Irish targets who will be checking out Duke for the game, which could be a great chance for them to have a great showing in person.
There will also be some notable Irish targets traveling to other schools this weekend, although it is a smaller list. There is one game in particular that should be one Notre Dame fans keep close eyes on. Here is where some top Irish recruits are expected.
(24) KANSAS at (3) TEXAS
Texas is set to host a healthy list of 2025 recruits for their battle against Kansas. Here are the players that are also on Notre Dame’s radar.
DT Zion Williams - Lufkin (Texas) High School
Williams is the teammate of Notre Dame 2024 running back commit Kedren Young. The 6-4, 295-pound defensive lineman has had some contact with the Irish staff since being offered back in May, but there is still not a ton of traction currently. Until they get Williams on campus, it is just another name on the board.
LB Elijah Barnes - Dallas (Texas) Skyline
Speaking with Barnes in the past, there actually is a level of interest in Notre Dame. As of now, he hasn’t made many trips outside of his home state. Getting him to campus is obviously a massive need but he is certainly a player to keep tabs on.
LB Noah Mikhail - La Verne (Calif.) Bonita
When Mikhail was offered by the Irish last year, he called the program his “dream school.” Both sides have kept close contact since then, with the California star even visiting after the fact. Over the last few months, momentum has seemed to die down a bit. Mikhail is still a top of the board type prospect at linebacker for Notre Dame.
LB Jayden Shelton - Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff
Shelton is a unique linebacker, who has some similarities to current Irish linebacker Jaiden Ausberry. There has also been contact between both Shelton and Notre Dame, although limited. There doesn’t appear to be much momentum right now.
- One small note is that 2025 Elmhurst (Ill.) Immaculate Conception defender Dominik Hulak will be in attendance when the Iowa Hawkeyes host Michigan State on Saturday. Notre Dame has been in a good spot with Hulak for some time now, who could potentially play linebacker or defensive end on the next level. Hulak has plans to visit South Bend for their battle against USC.
