Notre Dame Set To Host Several Important Recruits Against Pitt

Notre Dame is set to take on the Pitt Panthers on Saturday at home. They will also be welcoming several recruits to campus, including several commits, key targets and intriguing talents who do not currently hold offers.

Let’s take a look at every recruit expected on campus, especially the key targets. It promises to be a very important weekend for the Irish, who hope to continue momentum both on the field and on the recruiting trail.

KEY TARGETS IN ATTENDANCE

There are several key 2025 targets for Notre Dame that are set to visit campus this weekend. They are each players that the Irish staff each want big time. Here is the latest on them individually.

DE Damien Shanklin - Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central

For the second time in three weeks, Shanklin will be visiting for a gameday. Things have begun to really heat up lately. The Indiana native is a player that Notre Dame really likes. He brings a lot of raw tools to the table.

CB Cree Thomas - Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep

Speaking of liking for a long time, Notre Dame has been high on Thomas since before being offered back on St. Patrick’s Day. Coming from the same school as current Irish star Benjamin Morrison, Thomas brings upside to play all over the secondary on the next level.

S Ivan Taylor - Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange

Taylor, the son of former Pittsburgh Steeler great Ike Taylor, is another player that Notre Dame is very high on. He is one of the top defensive backs in the 2025 recruiting class overall and is a priority for the Irish. This will be Taylor’s third trip to campus, clearly showing his overall interest in the program.

WR Derek Meadows - Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

Meadows has been right near the top of the wide receiver room for some time now. He originally got offered after he showed out during the Irish Invasion this offseason. This one appears to be a Notre Dame-Washington battle heading down the stretch.

IRISH COMMITS ON CAMPUS

It’s always a good thing to get Notre Dame commits back on campus. The staff is expecting several to make the trip, which should help to attract the key targets on campus and continue to build their bond as a group.

OT Styles Prescod - Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern

DE Loghan Thomas - Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward

CB Karson Hobbs - Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller

S Brauntae Johnson - Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side

S Taebron Bennie-Powell - West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West

OTHER RECRUITS TO WATCH

There are several talented recruits making the trip to campus who do not currently hold offers from the Irish. That includes a few who currently hold impressive offer list, including nine that hold legitimate Power Five offers.
