Star Safety Ivan Taylor Sets Return Visit To Notre Dame

For the third time, star 2025 Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange safety Ivan Taylor will be making the trip back to Notre Dame on October 28th for their game against Pittsburgh. He originally camped in South Bend this offseason, then returned again in July.

The Irish staff have been trending in a great direction with Taylor, who is one of the more versatile defensive backs on the board. It isn’t just about football either, it’s about the full scope.

"The life conversations outside of football are really my favorite thing about the staff,” Taylor told Irish Breakdown. "Some coaches just want to talk about football all the time and never really get to know them personally. That’s different at Notre Dame.”

After leaving the most recent visit, Taylor had listed Notre Dame as one of his top schools along with Tennessee, Florida and Louisville. They have a chance to potentially separate themselves with another big visit.

Taylor is already a consensus four-star by every major recruiting platform. He is ranked as a top 40 national recruit by both 247Sports (No. 39) and ESPN (No. 31). Both of those outlets rank Taylor as a top five safety in the class.

The 6-0, 170-pound safety is being courted by some of the top prospects in all of college football. Taylor currently holds offers from the Fighting Irish, Alabama, Michigan, USC, Penn State, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Pittsburgh among several others.

In only nine games as a sophomore, Taylor made his full impact on the back end. He finished the season with 65 total tackles, five tackles for loss, half a sack, three interceptions and eight pass breakups.
