Davis Andrews Sets Official Visit To Notre Dame

In this story:
Notre Dame has a busy month of June coming up, and the Irish are expecting their top targets to get on campus. The Fighting Irish staff has been finalizing a number of important recruiting visits, including 2024 American Fork (Utah) High School safety Davis Andrews, who will be making his original visit on June 6-8.
The Utah native will be making the return trip after coming during Notre Dame’s Blue-Gold Game on the weekend of April 22nd. Andrews is a player the Irish staff has been high on for some time and getting him back so quickly is a major opportunity to close down the stretch.
Andrews has seen his offer list expand over the last few months. The interest has spread away from the general PAC 12 schools, including some Midwest and SEC interest as well. Some of the notable programs who have offered so far include the Irish, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Stanford, Arizona, Colorado, Washington State, Northwestern, Cal and BYU among others.
The 6-2, 190-pound athlete was a playmaker on the back end of the defense for American Fork. In twelve games, he recorded 45 total tackles, intercepted four passes, had three forced fumbles and recovered another.
As of now, Andrews will also be taking official visits to Utah and UCLA. Both of those visits are still being finalized in terms of dates.
Safety recruiting has become incredibly important for Chris O’Leary and the Notre Dame staff in the 2024 recruiting class. They must not only add numbers, but impact talent to the roster. Andrews is a big piece in that mission.
You can read the full Irish Breakdown film analysis of Andrews HERE. Here is a small part of that breakdown:
"Andrews has the type of profile that could potentially fit into multiple spots on the Notre Dame defense. His initial spot would most likely be as a field safety, taking advantage of Andrews’ ability to rotate down and get involved near the line of scrimmage. As he gets bigger, his long term outlook could be extremely intriguing as a rover in the Irish defense. With Andrews’ combination of size, length and versatility, he could become a playmaker from that position in the future."
