Notre Dame is set to host an impressive list of talented 2025 recruits this weekend when they take on the Pitt Panthers. This will be the first visit to South Bend for Pittsburgh (Pa.) Peters Township linebacker Mickey Vaccarello, who brings a whole lot of versatility to the table.

Vaccarello currently doesn’t hold an offer from the Irish but he’s excited to get there this weekend, and start to develop a deeper relationship with the staff. He has high expectations for what this weekend could bring.

“I’m hoping to meet some of the coaches and am looking forward to having the experience of game day at Notre Dame,” Vaccarello told Irish Breakdown. “The program has a great reputation and I’m excited to learn more about them.

“Notre Dame is a legendary program with great tradition,” he continued. “Their reputation speaks for itself. I've been talking with Mr. (Chad) Bowden, who invited me to the game. I’m pumped to meet some members of the staff this weekend.”

Overall, recruiting has been a little slow but it is starting to heat up more and more by the week. He’s very grateful for all the attention he’s gotten so far, and even more excited to see where things are going to go.

"Recruiting has been going great so far,” he said. "A lot of schools have been reaching out that are exciting, like Syracuse, Michigan, Boston College and West Virginia.”

Vaccarello has seen his offer list begin to really fill out. Some of the programs who have offered him so far include Boston College, Syracuse, Miami (OH) and Duquesne. Other schools like Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin and West Virginia have also been keeping close tabs on him.

The 6-3, 210-pound athlete has been a big reason that Peters Township currently sits with a 9-0 overall record. Vaccarello plays outside linebacker and tight end for the Indians, showcasing his versatility to make plays all over the field. He is a big reason that the defense has surrendered 37 total points in nine contests so far.
