Cleveland Browns C Luke Wypler's Love For Juggling, Stand-Up Comedy & Mother

In this story:
Former Ohio State Buckeyes center Luke Wypler was picked with the No. 190 overall draft slot in the sixth round to the Cleveland Browns for his abilities on the football field.
However, many don't know his talents off the field.
In a package that aired on ESPN and ABC after Wypler's selection Saturday, the Montvale, N.J. native went into detail about his love for juggling, stand-up comedy and how his mother, Michele Desimone, helped develop his game during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"In elementary school, we had a juggling club. Some people still can't believe how good my hands are and I say it's because of juggling," Wypler said. "'Good Morning America' had us out in Times Square. We were all about 45 of us that were in the club at the time, and we were juggling. And yeah it was a cool experience for me being there."

Wypler said he also did stand-up comedy for "about a month or two."
"I started jotting down my little skits that I had and I performed on two shows," Wypler said. "There wasn't a lot of people, but yeah it was a cool experience, getting in front of a mic, being able to tell jokes and make people laugh."
That was all for his unknown hobbies away from the gridiron, lastly detailing a behind-the-scenes factor into his success as the anchor for the Buckeyes' offensive line.
"My mom: part-time nurse, full-time scout team D-tackle," Wypler said. "She was instrumental during COVID. She was holding the blocking bags for me, thugging it out behind the pads and trying to give me the best look she could."
Well, Desimone must've done a good job because during the 2020 season, Wypler's run-blocking grade in 15 snaps was 43.8, according to Pro Football Focus, but then jumped over 40 points to 84.1 when he won the starting center job for 2021.
He had the fourth-best offensive grade of any Football Bowl Subdivision center in 2022, earning Third Team All-Big Ten honors, and he had one person to thank.
"This one's for you, Mom. We're going to the NFL," Wypler said.
