Daniel Akinkunmi, a 3-star offensive lineman from the NFL Academy in London, released his top five schools on Friday morning.

After taking a visit to Norman last weekend when the Sooners' took down Arkansas State 73-0, Oklahoma made the cut for Akinkunmi alongside Clemson, Miami, Mississippi and Baylor.

In the social media post announcing Akinkunmi's top five schools, it was also revealed that the talented offensive lineman will make his pledge on Oct. 12.

If Bill Bedenbaugh and company are able to secure a commitment from Akinkunmi, the versatile 3-star offensive lineman would join Isaiah Autry, Eugene Brooks and Joshua Aisosa in the Sooners' 2024 offensive line group.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Akinkunmi is the No. 1 prospect in Europe and holds over 25 offers. While the talented blocker can play multiple positions on the offensive line, Akinkunmi will likely play on the interior if he ends up committing to Oklahoma.

After his trip to Norman for week one of the college football season, Akinkunmi told On3 what makes OU so special.

"OU is an amazing program which has a history of winning and I want to be able to compete for a national championship one day," Akinkunmi told Hayes Fawcett. "Coach B has been there for 11 years, and has a great history of developing some of the best offensive linemen in the game. The fan base is massive and the support the fans make is amazing. When I went to the game it was amazing to see how much the team has improved in a short amount of time."

If the Sooners' are able to add the 3-star offensive lineman from London to their 2024 class, it would be a big win on the recruiting trail for Bedenaugh, who is likely still looking to bolster his group in the upcoming cycle.
