Count 4-star wide receiver Zion Kearny among the Oklahoma recruits who aren’t going anywhere.

“I can’t quit before I get started,” Kearney told Fan Nation. “That's crazy.”

Kearney was interviewed by Fan Nation’s Andrew Nemec of SB Live and reaffirmed his pledge to OU even after offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby’s departure Sunday to become head coach at Mississippi State.

“It would’ve been cool to play a season under him,” Kearney told Nemec. “I’m happy for him and I know it’s a part of the game.”

As such, Kearney will not be re-opening his recruitment. He's been committed to OU since April.

“I trust (Brent Venables) is going to get somebody in that’s going to lead us into the SEC competitive and ready to win,” Kearney said.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Kearney is the nation's No. 73 overall prospect and No. 15 wide receiver.
