SEC Announces Preliminary Schedule for Oklahoma's First Conference Media Days

In this story:
Oklahoma has its first marching orders from the SEC.
Two weeks after formally joining the Southeastern Conference on July 1, OU (and Texas) will take part in preseason SEC Football Media Days at the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas July 15-18.
OU coach Brent Venables and select OU players will step to the mic on Tuesday, July 16.
Other coaches going on that day: Georgia's Kirby Smart, Missouri's Eli Drinkwitz and Tennessee's Josh Heupel. It will be a nice reunion for Venables and Heupel, who coached on Bob Stoops' staff after Heupel was OU's quarterback from 1999-2000.
LSU's Brian Kelly, Ole Miss' Lane Kiffin, South Carolina's Shane Beamer and Vanderbilt's Clark Lea will speak to the media on Monday, while Alabama's Kalen DeBoer, Florida's Billy Napier, Mississippi State's Jeff Lebby and Texas' Steve Sarkisian will go on Wednesday and Arkansas' Sam Pittman, Auburn's Hugh Freeze, Kentucky's Mark Stoops and Texas A&M's Mike Elko will go on Thursday.
A more detailed schedule will be made available at a later date.
