Sunday Offering: Oklahoma Continues to Make Headway in 2025 and 2026 Classes

Over the past three weeks, the Sooners have been very active along the recruiting trail, offering nearly 20 more high school prospects over the past week.

After extending nearly 50 offers to recruits across the 2025, 2026 and 2027 classes, Oklahoma stayed busy on the recruiting trail again this week.

The Sooners offered another 17 high school prospects across the next three recruiting cycles in addition to landing in the top 12 for one of the nation's top junior prospects and adding another in-state recruit to OU's 2024 class.

After 5-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham visited Norman last weekend for Oklahoma's Elite Junior Day recruiting event, the Choctaw County (MS) standout included the Sooners in his top 12.

Rated the No. 11 overall player and the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle according to the 247Sports Composite, Cunningham is listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds. Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi and Mississippi State.joined OU in Cunningham's list.

Just a few days after the star wideout announced his top schools, Emmett Jones and Brent Venables stopped by Cunningham's high school to visit the playmaker in person.

If the Sooners are able to land a commitment from Cunningham, it would be a huge addition to what already has the makings of an elite wide receiver group.

On Friday evening, OU added another in-state prospect to the 2024 recruiting class.

Evan McClure, a 6-foot-5, 275-pound offensive tackle from the OK Preps powerhouse Bixby (OK) Spartans, committed to Oklahoma as a preferred walk-on.

McClure, who's father Bruce McClure played offensive line for the Sooners from 1993-1997, chose OU over Division I scholarship offers from Merrimack, Akron, South Dakota, Air Force, Weber State and Abilene Christian as well as a PWO offer from Arkansas.

As a senior at Bixby, McClure helped the Spartans to an undefeated season and their sixth consecutive state title game.

McClure joins a talented walk-on group consisting of Moore (OK) kicker Liam Evans, Casady (OK) defensive lineman Ace Hodges, Southlake Carroll (TX) wide receiver Jacob Jordan, Heritage Hall (OK) athlete Andy Bass and Edmond Santa Fe (OK) edge rusher Bergin Kysar

Aside from McClure and Cunningham, the Sooners also extending 17 offers to high school prospects over the past week.

The Sooners also offered two 2025 running backs in the state of Florida this week, starting with Armwood (FL) 3-star tailback Girard Pringle. The next day, DeMarco Murray and company extended an offer to 4-star Waltez Clark

Hailing from Plant (FL) High School, Clark is currently committed to the Florida Gators.
