Ole Miss Baseball vs. Florida Gators Start Time and TV Channel in Game 2 Showdown

Mike Bianco and the Ole Miss Rebels will look to capture an SEC series victory on Friday evening in Gainesville with Game 2 against the Florida Gators up next on the docket.

After taking down Florida in Game 1 on Thursday behind a strong effort from Taylor Rabe on the bump, Ole Miss cruised to a win with contributions coming from top to bottom.

Rabe made his first SEC start in Game 1 where he struck out six batters over a career-high 4.2 innings of work.

Following Rabe's start, it was Hudson Calhoun who took the bump where he ended up picking up the win with two innings of scoreless relief - while Walker Hooks earned his first save of the season, allowing just one hit over the final two innings.

Ole Miss earned a strong Game 1 win with the program now searching for a series victory after taking a commanding 1-0 lead.

Game 2: LHP Hunter Elliott (3-0, 3.72 ERA) vs. RHP Aidan King (3-2, 1.97 ERA)

The Buzz: Tristen Bissetta's Hot Start to the Year

Ole Miss' Tristen Bissetta is one of 45 total athletes and one of 16 from the SEC to be named to the Midseason Watch List.

Bissetta comes into the week ranked second in the SEC in home runs (14), fourth in total bases (85), fifth in RBI (38), sixth in slugging percentage (.746), and seventh in RBI per game (1.27).

The senior transfer leads the team in most offensive categories including batting average, slugging percentage, hits, RBI, home runs, and total bases. He has already set career highs in home runs, RBI, and total bases.

Bissetta has four multi-homer games already under his belt, coming against Jackson State, Baylor, Austin Peay, and Kentucky. He had just one in his entire career before coming to Ole Miss.
