The Oregon Ducks have officially announced the date for their annual spring football game. The game will take place April 29 at 1 PM P.T in Autzen Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 network.

That makes it just 89 days until fans can get a better look at 2023 Oregon Ducks.

Dan Lanning made his debut as Oregon's head coach in last year's spring game where we saw a good bit of what was in store for the 2022 season.

Last year's spring game began with a bunch of explosive offensive drives where we saw Bo Nix in an Oregon uniform for the first time throw for 230 yards and three touchdowns. The defense had a slow start and strong finish, but allowed over 300 yards on both the yellow and green teams, which mostly came through the air.

Spring football is an excellent way to see what could be in store for the Ducks in 2023. With a load of newcomers joining the flock over the off season, there's plenty to be excited about.

Offensively Oregon added help where needed it was needed by signing seven offensive linemen, two of which were experienced veterans from the transfer portal in Ajani Cornelius (Rhode Island) and Junior Angilau (Texas). This will be one area of focus to pay attention to this spring with the majority of last year's starters exhausting their eligibility.

We'll also see the debut of offensive coordinator Will Stein during the spring as he joined the Ducks after finishing No. 12 in total offense at UTSA last season. Stein has a loaded group to work with, as the Ducks return a majority of the skilled positions along with quarterback Bo Nix. He'll also get to see new transfers Traeshon Holden (Alabama) and Keyonteze Johnson (Troy) battle it out at the receiver spot.

Of course, Duck fans want a solid defensive approach for next season. Oregon hired Chris Hampton from Tulane as their Co-Defensive coordinator and safeties coach just a few weeks ago, replacing Matt Powledge, who left for Baylor.

Dan Lanning made it a point this offseason to add pieces in the secondary, and transfer defensive backs Tysheem Johnson (Ole Miss), Evan Williams (Fresno State) and Kyree Jackson (Alabama) will be three of the more prominent names looking to help a struggling pass defense.

Like last year, fans have something to be excited about in all aspects of the spring game with all the new players and coaches joining the program.
