Monday brought some significant recruiting news for the Ducks on the recruiting trail.

2024 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei defensive lineman Aydin Breland will visit the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend, according to a report from Jeremy Johnson of On3 Sports.

"That's a national championship contending team all the time," he told Ducks Digest of his Georgia interest last month. "They're really consistent at putting out D-linemen to the league and I've been to Athens a couple times and I love it there."

Breland is rated a five-star (0.9836) recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 35 player nationally, the No. 6 defensive lineman and the No. 3 recruit in the state of California.

He's arguably the top remaining recruiting target for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks in the 2024 cycle, who hold the No. 12 recruiting class in the country.

The 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive lineman also said he's looking to announce a final four in the near future. The schools that are likely in the best position with Breland are likely the schools he took four official visits this summer in Oregon, Georgia, Texas A&M and Miami.

Breland has yet to set a commitment date, but it's likely that one is not far off. He offered up what he's looking for in a school last month.

"Genuine family feel, great coaching staff, NFL development. Just a place I can call home. Just a place that I love. I love the fans, the fans love me. I love the school, I feel that it's a perfect fit, it's just everything is just perfect."

The Under Armour All-American selection is the top remaining defensive line target for Oregon in the 2024 recruiting class, along with Fairfield (Calif.) Armijo standout Jericho Johnson.
