Carlos Locklyn has brought some great running backs to Eugene in the short three years that he's been at Oregon.

Now he's hard at work recruiting his next star ballcarrier and is in a great spot with one of the best in the country.

On Friday, 2025 Elba (Ala.) running back Alvin Henderson placed Oregon in his top five schools, announcing his updated finalists over social media.

Oregon made the cut along with the Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes and Penn State Nittany Lions.

The 5-foot-10, 198-pound back spoke highly of Locklyn prior to his first trip to Oregon last summer.

"He (Locklyn) was my fifth offer and he offered at Western Kentucky. Ever since he's been at Oregon he always stayed in contact," Henderson told Ducks Digest. "It really surprised me when he came to my spring game because he didn't even let me know. He came to my game and I was like 'Dang, Coach Lock really is here.' When he came to my game I was surprised because Oregon's 32 hours away. Ever since then, me and Coach Lock, we're just locked in. Our relationship's been tight ever since."

As a junior in 2023, Henderson rushed for 3,523 yards and 61 rushing touchdowns on 225 carries (15.7 YPC), according to MaxPreps. Stats like that helped him amass 45 reported scholarships and earn distinction as one of the best offensive weapons in the country.
