Oregon Picks up New Prediction to Land 2024 Defensive Lineman

In this story:
The Oregon Ducks could be closing in on a very important commitment in the 2024 recruiting class.
On Wednesday, 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong flipped his Crystal Ball prediction from Michigan State to Oregon for 2024 Durant (Okla.) defensive lineman Xadavien Sims.
Sims is working from a top five of Oregon, Oklahoma, Michigan State, TCU and Vanderbilt. He's scheduled to make his college decision on Saturday May 20 at 1:45 pm PST.
Fans can watch his commitment live on the 247Sports YouTube channel.
Sims is listed at 6'3", 275 pounds and is rated a four-star (0.9263) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 194 player nationally, the No. 23 defensive lineman and the No. 2 recruit in Oklahoma.
The Ducks were on the outside looking in when they entered his recruitment back in January, but things have heated up and their chances look great after two trips out to Eugene this spring.
Oregon defensive line coach Tony Tuioti also hit the road to to check in on Sims in his home state.

Oregon has two defensive linemen committed in the 2024 recruiting class in Florissant (Mo.) Hazelwood Central standout Tionne Gray as well as Yuma (Ariz.) Catholic edge rusher Jaxson Jones.
Saturday could be a huge day on the recruiting trail for Oregon, as 2024 Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy quarterback Michael Van Buren is also set to announce his college commitment at 1 pm PST. Oregon is the overwhelming favorite and I predicted him to the Ducks last week.
