PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will play their 2024 Spring Game without a host of regulars and backups as they exercise an abundance of caution with some injuries that popped up over the course of their first four weeks of practice.

Linebacker Solomon DeShields, safety Cruce Brookins, running back Rodney Hammond, wide receiver Raphael Williams, cornerback Tamon Lynum, linebacker Keye Thompson, center Terrance Moore, guards Dorien Ford and offensive tackle Branson Taylor. Linebacker Jordan Bass, wide receivers CJ Lee and Che Nwabuko, defensive end Zach Crothers and defensive back Shadarian Harrison were later revealed to be out as well.

Defensive end Nate Temple has been shut down for the season with an injury, so will not participate in the spring game. And offensive guard Ryan Jacoby is still dealing with a knee injury that has kept him sidelined for all of 2024 spring practices.

Cornerback Tamarion Crumpley is questionable, per head coach Pat Narduzzi. Defensive tackles Sean FitzSimmons, Francis Brewu and Nahki Johnson, running back Derrick Davis and wide reciever Israel Polk are all considered probably to play.

The Panthers are scheduled to kickoff the 2024 Blue-Gold Game at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday at Acrisure Stadium.
