How To Watch: NCAA Baseball Selection Show

The South Carolina Gamecocks were selected as a regional host by the NCAA Selection Committee on Sunday late, which served as a mild surprise due to how the team had performed over the past month. It was clear the committee took into account the team's strength of schedule, having faced six of the seven other SEC regional hosts that were announced, plus Tennessee who based on projections from national outlets barely missed out on being a national host themselves.
Here's a quick rehash of the 16 regional hosts for the tournament:
- Wake Forest
- Alabama
- Auburn
- Indiana State
- Oklahoma State
- Stanford
- Vanderbilt
- Kentucky
- Florida
- Arkansas
- Miami
- Coastal Carolina
- South Carolina
- Clemson
- Virginia
- LSU
Now, the Gamecocks will wait to see who they'll playing in their regional in a double elimination style tournament. According to D1Baseball.com, Campbell, NC State, and Penn are the teams they expect to get slotted to Columbia, while Baseball America has North Carolina and Santa Clara heading to the Palmetto State along with Campbell. No matter who get's put with the Gamecocks, it's sure to be one of the most heavily watched regionals in the tournament, as college baseball fans will look to see if South Carolina can recapture the form they had at the beginning of the season.
