With three-quarters of the regular season complete, the defending national champions have yet to slip up against any competition. While there have been multiple tenacious bouts the Gamecocks have endured, head coach Dawn Staley and her team have found ways to adjust and fight through the adversity thrown their way.

With only seven games remaining before the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament takes place in early March, which remaining foes could push the Gamecocks to their limit?

UConn

This coming Sunday, the Gamecocks are set to clash with one of the most historic sports programs when they go on the road to take on the UConn Huskies. Although Geno Auriemma's squad has suffered a rash of injuries to their roster, the Huskies remain one of the best, having disposed of teams like Texas, NC State, Notre Dame, Iowa, and Tennessee.

Aaliyah Edwards has been a consistent presence for UConn and could provide a formidable test to Aliyah Boston, and this game being on the road makes it even more daunting.

LSU

The Tigers are the most glaring obstacle in the rest of the conference slate. LSU joins South Carolina as the only undefeated team in the country. Through the play of superstar forward Angel Reese, they are looking to win the SEC regular-season championship for the first time in 15 years.

Kim Mulkey is building quite the program down in the Bayou, but questions linger regarding LSU's strength of schedule, as to this point, only four of the Tigers' twelve non-conference wins have come against opponents with a winning record.

Tennessee

The Volunteers might no longer be considered the best women's college basketball program in the SEC, but they're still a team to pay attention to as we get into the home stretch of South Carolina's schedule. Tennessee has been battle-tested quite this season, facing five Top 15 teams to this point, and has yet to lose a single conference game.

With seniors in Rickea Jackson and Jordan Horston leading the charge and the game being on the road, the matchup between the Gamecocks and the Volunteers could serve as the final major test for South Carolina before the NCAA tournament.
