Multiple former Gamecock football players have found new homes in the NFL during the offseason. Former Gamecock cornerback and NFL Defensive Player of the Year Stephon Gilmore was traded by the Indianapolis Colts to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth-round compensatory pick, while former Gamecock tight end Hayden Hurst, who spent last season with the Cincinnati Bengals, signed a three-year deal with the Carolina Panthers.

However, transactions for former South Carolina stars on the gridiron are still going strong, as former Gamecock left tackle Dennis Daley signed a free agency deal with the NFL's Arizona Cardinals yesterday evening.

Daley is heading into his 5th NFL season and was previously with the Tennessee Titans, whom he played left guard for until left tackle Taylor Lewan went down with a season-ending injury, forcing the Titans to bump Daley to the left tackle spot. Dennis has played in 51 career games, starting 36 of them, and played the first three years of his career with the Carolina Panthers before landing in Tennessee.

It's a pivotal offseason for Daley, who, according to Pro Football Focus, had a less-than-stellar performance at left tackle for the Titans this past fall, leading the league in sacks given up and pressures allowed. While one could argue that the situation wasn't fair to Dennis, the NFL can be a ruthless meat grinder for even the best of the game, so he'll undoubtedly look to change the narrative surrounding his career while in Glendale.
