Deuce Knight Includes South Carolina In Top 10, Calls Them His Dream School

South Carolina's Football program has made the Top 10 for highly-coveted 2025 quarterback Deuce Knight.

In just a matter of days, it seems like the Gamecocks have moved into the corner of one of the top pass-throwers in the class of 2025. Just yesterday, Knight announced on Twitter that he had received an offer from the Gamecocks, and in less than 24 hours, he has placed South Carolina in his top ten schools left in his recruitment.

Though he is still over two years away from graduating, Knight has already become a national name thanks to his incredible talent, coming in as the sixth-ranked QB in the class of 2025 according to On3's Industry Ranking.

Knight is lauded for his impressive athleticism at such a young age. Despite being barely old enough to drive, the young quarterback already stands at 6-4 and is a capable runner. Knight totaled 23 touchdowns in his freshman season, twelve coming via his legs.

It's hard for an underclassman to look at all poised to one day be a college athlete, but Knight is a talented player with major power-five ambitions. Though his arm talent still needs some development, it's easy to tell he has the potential and progression to become an elite college football quarterback.

Knight's ten remaining schools are as impressive list as any for a young recruit. SEC schools like South Carolina, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Auburn are included on the list, and Oregon, Notre Dame, TCU, and Washington round out his list.

There is good news regarding the Gamecocks' pursuit of Knight. While talking to On3's Hayes Fawcett about the ten schools on his list, Knight offered some fascinating insight into his choice to include Gamecocks. The young QB said he "Was born in Columbia, so [South Carolina's] my dream school."

Though it all seems like a quick turnaround, the Gamecocks have been courting and watching Knight for a while, and we know Head Coach Shane Beamer likes to work quickly. South Carolina needs a quarterback in the class of 2025, and a stud like Knight would be perfect for Offensive Coordinator Dowell Loggains' vision for his side of the ball.
