Shane Beamer and his coaching staff have built a reputation for being able to identify blue-chip talent in the early stages of the process. One way to recognize this ability is when they offer a prospect and which subsequent offers the player receives after the fact, but another way is through their targets' camp performances.

Recently, multiple South Carolina targets or commits have had fantastic camps. 2024 QB commit Dante Reno earning an invite to the Under Armour All-American game, 2025 QB target Deuce Knight almost breaking Elite 11's grading scale at a Mississippi camp, and 2024 WR target Jonathan Paylor earning an Under Armour All-American game invite at a UA Next camp in Baltimore this past weekend.

Paylor just had his testing numbers released from the UA Next camp, as mentioned above, and needless to say, he blew away the competition, ranking first in multiple tests.

Gamecock fans who've followed his recruitment closely already knew that Paylor was one of the best all-around athletes in the 2024 recruiting class, but these numbers from his camp performance in Baltimore just validate this train of thought. Paylor, along with Texas native Parker Livingstone and Virginia native Keylen Adams remains one of South Carolina's highest priority targets on the offensive side of the ball for the 2024 recruiting cycle.
