Following his Junior campaign, Kaj Sanders traveled from Oradell, NJ, to Columbia, SC, on January 21st of this year. His visit was part of the Gamecocks' 'Junior Day,' an experience where recruits and coaches interact in a group team-building setting. Gamecock nation can feel great about his time in Columbia, as it's led to an official visit being scheduled for the weekend of June 2nd-4th.

During his visit, Sanders will spend time with Gamecocks DB coach Torrian Gray, who played free safety for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings from '97-'99, then coached NFL secondaries with the Bears and Commanders. His experience and knowledge of the game have led to an illustrious college coaching career, mentoring NFL stars Kam Chancellor, Kendall Fuller, Kyle Fuller, Terrell Edmunds, Brandon Flowers, and more on their journeys to the NFL.

Kaj Sanders has been a difficult player to define for recruiting websites due to his versatility and success on the field. While primarily playing cornerback or safety, Sanders is also known to line up at running back, leading to the occasional listing of 'athlete.' His experience playing multiple positions has led to a high football IQ and knowledge of offensive and defensive schemes, an attribute highly valued by scouts and coaches.

Listed at 6'1 180 lbs, Sanders also boasts an ideal frame for his position. He's tall enough to match larger receivers on jump balls, and his track speed allows him to stick with any pass catcher he matches up against. His combination of game sense, speed, and height translates to high-quality play, accumulating 40 tackles, six pass deflections, four touchdowns, and three interceptions in his Junior season.

Should Kaj Sanders settle on South Carolina come 2024 National Signing Day, the expertise of Gray and the skillset of Sanders could develop into yet another NFL sendoff
