With the 2024 recruiting cycle essentially finalized for the South Carolina Gamecocks and the transfer portal cycle open for a couple more days, let's examine which all-star games these future Gamecocks are playing in, along with the rankings of the class, and which transfers are reportedly interested in Shane Beamer's program. On January 3rd, South Carolina fans will witness several future players in action, being tied for first with Georgia and Texas for the most commits involved—each boasting seven. Pulling rankings from On3, 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN, the Gamecocks have secured 2 5-stars, 11 4-stars, and 4 3-stars, with nine players in the ESPN Top 300. The Gamecocks faced tough competition even after several players committed. Notably, QB Dante Reno resisted offers from Miami and North Carolina, while OT Josiah Thompson remained loyal despite Clemson's attempts.
