College football is set to happen this month but until all of the dust has completely settled in the realignment realm it is hard to digress.

Stanford is one of the four remaining Pac-12 teams that has been named the "Pac-4" and while they don't have clarity on their situation they have optimism. New head coach Troy Taylor who is in charge of undoing the damage that the last few seasons of David Shaw's tenure, has already expressed confidence that Stanford will be in a Power 5 and it appears that confidence remains steady.

In a report on the app formerly known as Twitter, media consultant Jim Williams expressed that Stanford is still not wavering in their confidence in themselves. Williams even went as far to say that they have a belief that they can join the ACC "as soon as this week".

Right now, the ACC is in a peculiar situation being that some of their biggest brands in Florida State, Clemson, and Miami among others have expressed a desire to leave the conference due to their unhappiness with their share of the media rights deal. Unfortunately for them neither the SEC or the Big Ten are interested at this time, and Tuesday was the deadline to alert the ACC about plans to leave and not one of them did, but it has created some confusion. However for Stanford, outside of the traveling aspect which is a major concern for the non-football sports, the ACC is the perfect fit for them.

They have the academic prowess with programs like Duke, North Carolina, and Wake Forest and they would also remain at the Power 5 level. Even with all of the noise surrounding Oliver Luck attempting to save the Pac-12, it appears Stanford would rather hit the road than stick around.
