TCU took the series from Kansas State Saturday in thrilling fashion on Saturday. A game-saving catch by Elijah Nunez sealed the deal and gave the Horned Frogs their eighth win in their last nine and their playoff hopes alive. TCU won 4-3.

Neither team was able to plate a run in the first three innings, but Brayden Taylor opened up the scoring with a solo homer to center field. It was his 18th of the season, and he is now within one of the all-time home-run record at TCU.

Brady Day tied it up with a sac fly in the fourth, but in the top of the fifth, Austin Davis broke the tie with his own sac fly, bringing Kurtis Byrne home. Davis also had an RBI bunt in the ninth.

Karson Bowen hit his sixth home run in the eighth inning as he continues his impressive freshman campaign. He finished the regular season with a .333 average, good for second on the team to go along with ten doubles and 41 RBIs.

Sam Stoutenborough got the win going 5.1 innings, giving up five hits on one run. Luke Savage pitched 2.1 innings of perfect baseball, and Garrett Wright recorded his fourth save, but not before the electric catch by Nunez.

TCU has certainly turned up the heat over the last couple of weeks. They're easily playing their best baseball of the season and look like the team we expected to see coming into the year. The Horned Frogs desperately needed this series win, and they got it. They will now prepare for the Big 12 tournament in Arlington, where they will have a rematch with Kansas State.
